Job Description


The Equipment Specialist is to be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of EnovaPremier business goals and objectives as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. The Equipment Specialist will supervise maintenance technicians as direct reports, developing all through problem solving and The EPIQ Way. This position will support all plant technical/mechanical operations as well as any building/grounds maintenance required or needed.


  1. Install and maintain production machines and the plant equipment.
  2. Assure the completion of special assignments designated by the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
  3. Manage the implementation and continuous use of the preventive maintenance program.
  4. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  5. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  7. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  8. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  9. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  10. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  11. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  12. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  13. Work on special assignments designated by the Maintenance Manager & Engineers
  14. Assist in the relief of plant technical staff during absences from the plant.
  15. Research, design and implement new technology to improve equipment performance and quality to the customer.
  16. Ability to lead and gain consensus among team members at all levels.
  17. Supports teamwork and teambuilding within the department and within the plant.
  18. Ability to cover for maintenance manager and production management as needed.
  19. Other duties as assigned to support EnovaPremier KPIs and The EPIQ Way.

Job Requirements


Associate’s Degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance (or similar field) or an additional three years of work experience.



Industrial equipment and supervisory experience of at least 3-5 years preferred. Strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) controls a must. Candidate must have knowledge of AutoCAD, pneumatic and hydraulic design and repair. Experience in mechanical, electrical and industrial fabrication.

  9. Siemens S7 programming and troubleshooting.
  10. Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC and SLC ladder logic using both RS Logix and 6200 series software.
  11. Experience in operator interface programming such as panel views.
  12. Familiarity with different servo controlled systems.
  13. Ability to read and/or interpret engineering drawings (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical)
  14. Proficiency with computer aided drawing software, i.e. AutoCAD.
  15. Ability to size electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
  16. Proficiency with MS Office products desired.
  17. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  18. Maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to, managing confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information.
