Join Vaddio as a member of the Hardware Engineering Team!  As the Printed Circuit Board Designer, you will be responsible for library development and maintenance as well as PCB layout and design for Vaddio’s audio and video products.

*This is a 3-6 month contract position with the intent of permanent hire.

 

Position Description

  • Designs PCBs in Altium Designer tools based on schematics and board requirements defined by the responsible engineer. 
  • Creates and maintains symbol and footprint libraries to IPC standards. 
  • Provides expert knowledge of Altium tools to the group.
  • Work closely with responsible electrical engineer in all phases of PCB development including shared layout responsibilities.
  • Works with mechanical engineer on board outlines and interface component placement.
  • Participates in design reviews.
  • Create standardized data packages for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Maintains expertise in PCB fabrication processes and design rules in order to produce manufacturable designs.
  • Manages Altium licenses.

Job Requirements


  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Altium Designer.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in PCB layout and design.
  • Must have experience in multi-layer boards.
  • Must have experience in analog, high speed digital and power supply designs.
  • Two year associate degree or equivalent expertise.
  • Proven capability with PCB design.
  • DXF experience.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
