Job Description

Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description:

   Verify and enter details of transactions in account and cash journals.

   Summarize details on separate ledgers or computer files and transfer data to general ledger.

   Balance books and compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of business.

   Calculate employee wages and prepare checks for payment of wages.

    Prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports.

    Compute, type, and mail monthly statements to customers.

    Complete records to or through trial balance.

    Supervise other accounting personnel.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required
  • 1-2 years experience in the field
  • Experince with Peachtree, Quickbooks and Timberline software a plus
