Acquisition / Contracting Support Specialist:

WT Resources is fast paced, quickly growing subcontractor on a large Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) contract.  We are currently searching for qualified candidates to fill several positions to support the Air Force Strategic Design and Construction at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, TX.  The on-site support will provide advisory and assistance services of the Air Force's Central Command (CENTCOM) construction activities and strategies.  We are currently searching for six (6) Acquisition / Contracting Support Specialists with knowledge and expertise to perform the following functions for a one year contract:

  • Prepare and write Request for Proposals (RFPs), support evaluations and business analysis and recommendations, cost-price analysis, development of solutions and recommendations regarding contractual issues and preparation of final contract documents. 
  • Make routine copies and provide administrative support to Contract Specialists/Contracting Officers. 
  • Support Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and input into the contract writing system solicitations, contracts, and modifications
  • Support the coordinate audits by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and reports by Governmental agencies such as Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Finance Accounting System (DFAS); and assist in research and analysis to support decisions regarding contractual issues.
  • Ensure that project tracking information systems are developed and maintained in accordance with DOD and US Air Force certification and accreditation requirements; develop and maintain a database to support reporting of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and provide support to ensure AFCEC-executed project data is updated in AFCEC/CF customer databases as required.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate Program Management Review conferences at locations
  • Develop and update project Master Schedules that integrate the individual Base Management Action Plan schedules and the technical and contracting schedules and resources; these include baseline control of master schedules; identification of potential impacts; development of alternative courses of action, recommendations for balancing resources, schedule and program objectives and performing risk analyses to assess schedule viability based on realistic assessments of schedule risks; preparing alternatives to correct or avoid schedule variances, and performing analysis and review of engineering cost estimates; preparing program cost tracking, trend analysis and budget planning and programming.

Job Requirements

Acquisition / Contracting Support Specialist:
  • Previous experience with all phases of the Air Force acquisition cycle, including development, award, management, and measurement of contracting actions, including contract closeout
  • Previous experience preparing and/or writing RFP documents in a DOD/Air Force Environment
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, as well as Air Force, FAR/DFAR, or DOD regulations and documentation
  • US Citizenship Required / NACI Background Check (Secret Clearance Preferred)
