Job Description

Wellmore, Inc. is a growing and dynamic agency providing a range of behavioral health services to children, adolescents and their families.

We are seeking two full-time Home Based Clinicians for our Waterbury and Danbury offices. Working as part of a team with a Mental Health Counselor, this position will provide intensive individual and family therapy to youth in their home that have psychiatric issues and are at risk for hospitalization or residential placement.

The In-home Clinician is responsible for direct services with children, adolescents and their families including but not limited to evaluation/assessment; home

& community based services; outreach; case and care management; individual and family therapies; crisis intervention; record keeping; collaboration with other professionals and team members and related community services

Job Requirements


A master’s degree in marriage and family therapy or social work with at least a one year clinical internship working with children and/or adolescents is preferred.  A Connecticut license (or license eligible) as a marriage and family therapist or social worker is preferred.  A master’s degree in a human service field with at least a one year clinical internship working with children and/or adolescents will be considered (for candidates eligible to be licensed in Connecticut as a professional counselor).  Two years post graduate clinical experience working with children, families or providing crisis intervention is preferred.  Experience in family therapies is also preferred.
