Job Description

METROLOGIST POSITION:

We are looking for a team member who is driven by systematically making measurements with the highest accuracies and lowest uncertainties possible, ultimately to improve the quality of our customers products and services. He/she must also want to help build a world-class metrology team and improve the metrology community.

• Support our team in continually improving the quality of our products and calibrations
• Create procedures and processes to streamline the calibration lab operations and attain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
• Collaborate with the R&D team by helping with the testing and calibration of new instruments
• Be proactive and engaged in our entrepreneurial culture and the continual search for improving the accuracy and capabilities of our instruments
• Innovate and drive our calibration capabilities forward with practical and efficient solutions
• Champion the growth and continual improvement of our calibration laboratory
• Participate in planning and budgeting the current and future calibration lab activities
• Utilize creativity and focus to develop a world-class calibration team
• Think of the best ways to organize projects, processes, facilities and systems to drive efficiency
• Help business units throughout RH Systems create world-class solutions to drive our mission
• Grow as a professional through continued education, research and study, and interaction with other professionals and leaders
• Operate at all times with the utmost integrity and loyalty to the team

CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN POSITION:

We are looking for a team member who is driven by systematically making measurements with the highest accuracies and lowest uncertainties possible, ultimately to improve the quality of our customers' products and services. He/she must also want to be a key member of our world-class metrology team.

• Support our team in continually improving the quality of our products and calibrations
• Create procedures and processes to streamline the calibration lab operations and attain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
• Collaborate with the R&D team by helping with the testing and calibration of new instruments
• Be proactive and engaged in our entrepreneurial culture and the continual search for improving the accuracy and capabilities of our instruments

Job Requirements

METROLOGIST POSITION

Required Background/Experience (Must Haves):

• Experience with developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Manuals and ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation for humidity, temperature and pressure measurement. NVLAP or A2LA accreditation experience preferred.
• Experience calculating uncertainty budgets and completing traceability studies.
• Experience with humidity, temperature and pressure calibration.
• Capable of working independently, yet in harmony with an R&D team that will need access to the same calibration equipment.
• Always ready to get your hands dirty, push the state-of-the-art, and be willing to help the team in any way possible.
• Must be a good communicator, have the heart of a teacher, and willing to share knowledge and experiences with customers, team members and the community through presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
• We want people with a proven track record of seeing opportunities, designing solutions, and bringing them to reality.
• Experience with MS Windows, Excel, Word. Experience writing VBA macros is a plus.

Desired Background/Experience (Nice to Haves)

• Software development experience, especially for equipment automation. Experience with C/C++ and/or Python is a plus.
• Experience using, calibrating and maintaining chilled mirror hygrometers and two-pressure and two-pressure/two-temperature humidity generators.
• Experience leading and growing a small metrology team.
• Experience with continual improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)

CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN POSITION:

• Familiar with statistical analysis of results and calculating measurement uncertainties.
• Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for humidity, temperature and pressure measurement.
• Always ready to get your hands dirty, push the state-of-the-art, and be willing to help the team in any way possible.
• Willing to both lead and follow, depending upon the situation.
• Capable of working independently, yet in harmony with a R&D team that will need access to the same equipment that is used for calibrations.
• Must be a good communicator, have the heart of a teacher, and willing to share knowledge and experiences with customers, team members and the community by taking part and contributing to presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
