Account Executive - IT Solutions


NWN is looking for an Account Executive to join our team in Houston, TX.  This is a full time direct hire position with a full benefit package. 


We are looking for candidates with prior experience selling in one or multiple of the following areas: Collaboration, Hosted Collaboration, VOIP, Data Networking (Route & Switch), Data Center (Servers & Storage) and associated services.


Experience selling HP, Cisco, NetApp. Looking for commercial/enterprise focused hunters. Not looking for SLED focus. Experience selling into Oil & Gas or Healthcare is a major plus.


 Duties and Responsibilities:
• The sale of company products and services to assigned territory/market
• Cold calling into assigned territory/market to find new customers and projects
• Regular meetings with assigned customers to promote solutions and services offerings of NWN
• Work with internal and external resources to develop and sell new opportunities
• Quoting of new opportunities
• Create compelling proposals for the sale of NWN offerings
• Accurate and regular forecasting of the business through company CRM tool (NetSuite)
• Attend and facilitate marketing events that are presented in the market by the company.
• Maintain customer and prospecting database in company CRM tool
• Attend company facilitated meetings
• Participate in industry association(s) as appropriate
• Maintain industry certifications

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:
• Outside sales experience with direct end-user accounts
• Minimum of 3 years proven success of selling technology projects in the territory
• Consistent and documented over-quota performance in a Gross Margin-driven environment
• Understanding of key technologies:  Collaboration, Hosted Collaboration, VOIP, Data Networking (Route & Switch), Data Center (Servers & Storage) and associated services
• Manufacturer sales certifications ( e.g. HP, NetApp, Cisco Certified)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred


Professional/Personal Skills:
• Solid Communication Skills, reasoning ability and/or mathematical skills
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to conduct group presentations
• Ability to calculate complex pricing in an Excel spreadsheet
• Understanding and use of concept of Solutions Selling
• Desire to remain current in knowledge of technology trends
• Possess a fundamental understanding of financial statements and market economics
