Job Description

Prepares financial, operational, and business related analysis and research in the area of accounts receivable management.  Prepares forecasts and analyzes general business conditions and other areas related to accounts receivable management. Utilizing PC and/or mainframe based systems and software; researches data, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed. Conducts special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analysis.   Conducts user acceptance testing.   The Operations Analyst must monitor effectiveness of business processes, conduct analysis, make recommendations, and coordinate implementation for system and process improvements resulting in timely and correct completion of  issues.  In this role the Business Operations Analyst / Sr. must develop skills and knowledge to effectively address and resolve issues across multiple functional groups including but not limited to Information Technology, Back Office Operations (including invoicing, service initiation, remittance processing), Consumer Operations, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory.   

Job Requirements

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing PC and/or mainframe based systems and software; research data, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed
  • Identify root cause of problems and then work on system, process, training, or procedure fixes to prevent issues from occurring
  • Develop and implement appropriate methods for monitoring, analyzing, and preparing data for management reports and statistics
  • Identify and document technical system and process requirements for improved operational efficiencies.
  • Provide analytical and technical support to teams for analysis of internal business processes and system capabilities to improve accuracy and efficiency related to completion of global issues
  • Prepare spreadsheets, graphics, and word documents as required for reporting, analysis, documentation, and presentations

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles; particularly regarding accounts receivable and bad debt.
  • Knowledge of SAS and SQL programming languages.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must be an effective team player.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results oriented.
  • Committed to meeting very aggressive completion target dates, and working overtime if required
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems quickly, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Drive to resolve issues quickly that are not easily resolved
  • Handle confidential information in a discrete manner
  • Advanced skills in the business applications, operation of personal computers and software programs
  • Knowledge of SAP/CCS
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
