Primary Characteristics:
Software Developers are responsible for implementation and creation of technology solutions to meet the requirements of EverBank's products and services.
Review build request database for assigned builds and update the workflow through each phase of the build process. Create and maintain configuration specifications, branches and views. Label software to be built in tool. Run pre-build reports. Build software and compile software using list of the tools and general build scripts. Package software, create installers and upload production built software to FTP servers for deployment. Ensure the integrity and quality of the software. Compile and build new and existing software products. Provide support to R&D to help troubleshoot build issues as well as problems in the field. Migrate builds off all applications and configure builds to use TFS Jenkins, and other tools. Coach and advise internal groups, advancing SCM process improvements and best practices seeking excellence in the software development lifecycle. Using technical and coding abilities, seek opportunities to implement a continuous integration (CI) framework using various scripting languages and applications.The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. This position will be supporting development teams from multiple business lines.

Functions:
  • Executes and maintains standard corporate practices for operational software processes and data management.
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications following established architecture standards as well as software development and project management methodologies.
  • Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting business requirements and customers.
  • Conducts system and software testing, develops standardized QA procedures and develops fixes.
  • Determines and develops design approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software development/scripting languages.
  • Must be organized and have excellent time management skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proven ability to keep abreast of emerging technologies.
  • Must be able to work in a global environment.
  • Train users on configuration tools.
  • Responsible for consulting with Release Engineering to ensure that SCM tools and processes support the product.
  • Continuous Integration infrastructure responsible for building production products.
  • Attend required release meetings.
  • Keep internal tools and data in sync with changes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of standard development, stage and test environments.
  • Create and manage system deployment documentation.
  • Implement version control of SQL Server artifact.
  • Troubleshoot build, configuration and installation errors on .NET and JAVA platforms.
  • Hands on experience in installing Applications in IIS on windows and Tomcat/Jboss applications on Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience in building applications using MSBuild for .Net and Ant/Maven for Java based applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Source control Management tools such as TFS, subversion.
  • Basic knowledge of integration of SCM tools (subversion,TFS) into IDE(Visual Studio, eclipse).
  • Basic knowledge of Build/Release Management using TeamBuild, Maven and Jenkins.

Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required in a related area.
  • Successfully participated in 3 + large scale software development efforts.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of configuration management experience.
  • Experience working with at least one distributed version control system (e.g. Jenkins).
  • Experience managing the build and deployment of enterprise applications across multiple production systems for various line of business.
  • Extensive experience developing automation scripts to automate the software deployment process (experience required in a scripting language such as subversionTFS) into IDE (Visual Studio, eclipse).
  • Integrating source control and bug tracking systems.
  • Microsoft SQL Server version control.
  • Customization of configuration management tools (Jenkins).
  • Experience with configuration management of open source software systems is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Jenkins Administration.
  • Must be able to work in a global environment.
  • Work within a Project Team environment.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and Continuous Integration strategies.
  • Integrating source control and bug tracking systems.
