Job Description

Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities; gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility; coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings; prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition; reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Oversee and coordinate the following:
  • Level and alignment of machines
  • Troubleshoot and repair of major machine tool problems
  • Disassemble, repair and rebuild machine tool sub assemblies and assemblies
  • First time power up and troubleshooting of machines
  • Set up and operate RenishawBallbar and Renishaw Laser Calibration equipment
  • Servo system tuning
  • Final scrape and or fitting of most machine tool components
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuitry
  • Installing, trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on large gantry CNC Machine Tools such as; Cincinnati,
  • Henri Line' and Handtman 5 axis gantries
  • Installing, trouble shooting and repair of: Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley 9 Series and Cincinnati 950 controls
  • Installing, trouble shooting and repair of: PLC’s, servo drives, electronics boards, and auxiliary equipment
  • Work with very limited supervision
  • Prepare documentation/paperwork in a neat and accurate manner
  • Train other employees for advancement

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree or 10 years of experience plus Associates degree or 14 years of experience and a High School diploma/Accredited GED or equivalent
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, electrical/electronics systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and CNC/PLC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Cincinnati 950 and Allen Bradley 9 on 5 axis CNC Machine tools used in machining
  • A qualified candidate would preferably be able to make edits on PLC ladder logic and Siemens Step 7
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
