Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: An Associate’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in a related field or a high school diploma and a combination of 5-7 years of college and experience is required. Accounting experience is preferred. The employee must be proficient in English and possess math skills proficient to calculate pallet quantities, and run data analysis. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office programs experience (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Oracle (or AS400) experience is preferred; if none, must become proficient within 90 days of hire. Previous experience with a slot picking program is preferred. Experience as a certified powered industrial truck (PIT) operator is preferred; if none, must be able to pass certification within 90 days on the job. Employee must be able to be certified for PIT operation by DPI.
Work Environment: The work environment is indoors and the employee may be exposed to cold room or freezer temperatures. There is moderate noise level in warehouse environments with occasional to frequent honking of power jacks and forklifts for safety. The floors may be concrete.
Work Hours: The work schedule is either 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, or 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. Start times vary. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime, holidays or weekends.
Physical and Mental Demands: Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force seldom, up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This job also requires frequent standing and walking. Know, follow and enforce DPI grooming, hygiene and dress code policies including appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) for safety compliance. Follow sequencing or order directions and apply knowledge of spatial relations product storage. Understand recall procedures and reporting. Know and follow protocols for accurate and proper paperwork and documentation delivery. Apply advanced analytic skills for resolving inventory disputes or errors; application of root cause analysis to prevent future discrepancies; apply intermediate to advanced skill with Excel for Inventory research, analysis, monitoring and resolving perpetual inventory discrepancies. Apply intermediate to advanced math skills to perform data analysis and track and report on inventory and KPI’s. Apply high level conflict resolution skills and negotiation skills to interactions with multi levels of DPI personnel and and vendors.
