This Facilities Services Department position supports Wexner Medical Center and university goals.
Systems and equipment are operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position is subject to callback.
Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor in the planning, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of building automation systems that support, enhance and ensure effective, safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations of mechanical systems and equipment, building controls and utilities for the Medical Center. Acts as the principle resource for building automation operational oversight; daily operation and management of mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems and components; assess and resolve issues with controls, and building automation; write and install programs that resolve HVAC related issues; manage/participate in the equipment commissioning process; develop and monitor energy saving processes; as well as optimize and maintain the operation of the various HVAC systems throughout the Medical Center. Serves as the primary contributor and consultant for building automation systems across 6+ million square foot of acute care, ambulatory, clinical, business, academic, and laboratory healthcare space both on and off campus. This position manages assigned operations and capital funds and monitors utility budgets. This position provides direction and oversight to the operational team. Consults on major initiatives and projects, including multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of business automation systems with the overall business. Responsible for the analysis, testing and implementation of the most complex business automation systems and solutions. Acts as a subject matter expert on business automation systems strategies, procedures, policies and methodologies. Provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic business automation systems requirements with evolving business opportunities and needs. This position also may respond to emergency situations, such as electrical and mechanical system outages, and may assist with evaluation of and correction of problems.
