The Vice President of Sales is responsible for ensuring that sales goals by marketing are met and selling HealthSmart products through broker distribution channels.   The VP of Sales will be focused on selling HealthSmart’s  Administrative services for group benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision as well as Care Management, Wellness and Disease Management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales activities primarily in Texas
  • Achieve minimum annual sales goal to be determined with management team
  • Develop Strategic Sales Plan annually to demonstrate how the Sales Executive will meet and exceed published sales goal
  • Assist management with developing specific sales strategies 
  • Introduce HealthSmart Products and Services to brokerage relationships
  • Manage brokerage relationships to promote a positive image of HealthSmart as a Texas based Managed Care company with national capabilities
  • Assist marketing with developing sales campaigns to support the overall sales effort
  • Promote and support a working team environment with all departments
  • Work closely with the account management team to make certain there are smooth and efficient implementations of new clients and to ensure successful client retention 
  • Identify areas of potential improvement and work with the team to make improvement
  • Maintain ethical business standards to support HealthSmart’s goal of being a highly respected healthcare company

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree and four years of sales and marketing experience in Group Benefits or Third Party Administration industries or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with self-insurance, large deductibles, group programs, Heath Care Reform, Stop Loss and ERISA Plans
