Hospital Auditor - TX

Location: Austin, TX

Type: Contract

Duration: 8 Months

Job Requirements


Skills & Job Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Audit Experience - Medicare / Medicaid / Hospital
  • Healthcare Reimbursement Experience
  • Under general direction, audits financial and statistical data to verify and monitor accuracy with government procedures.
  • Responsible for coordinating various cost report desk reviews and field audits of children’s hospitals.
  • Uses knowledge of compliance rules and regulations to propose adjustments to providers’ financial data or recommend changes to their policies and procedures.
  • Prepares tentative and final cost settlements in order to accurately determine providers’ reimbursement rates for processing of Medicaid claims.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance - similar qualified field
  • Minimum of 60 hours of Accounting courses
  • Progression towards Audit Certification - CPA / CIA / CISA
