Position: RN Staff Development Coordinator
Shift: First Shift

  • LTC Experience Preferred
  • Currently Licensed in the State of North.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum three years of supervisory or administrative experience
  • Teaching background desirabie

    Supervises, participates, and completes Orientation for all personnel.  Assists Director of Nursing and/or Assistant Director of Nursing in planning in-service programs for nursing department. Schedules and implements mandatory in-services for all departments.  Seeks ways to improve the technical and communication skills of all personnel and to motivate them to higher levels of performance.  Performs employee health screens for all departments on both new employees and yearly health screen updates.  Maintains a monthly file of the above.  Plans, coordinates, teaches programs aimed at insuring optimal care of residents for all personnel on all shifts.  Maintains records of all in-service education provided in the facility in the employee education/training file.  Develops instructional materials utilizing facility policies adn procedures, CDC guidelines, state and federal regulations, articles, erc. relevant to current standards or practice in long term health care.
