RFP Coordinator (Contract Position)

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the RFP Coordinator is responsible for identifying and responding to RFP and IFB opportunities from various Federal, State, and Local agencies.  Responsible for overseeing the life cycle of the proposal including all aspects of concept, information gathering, preparation, formatting, editing, and submission.  Work will be performed on an hourly consulting basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Tracks, reads, and responds to RFP and IFB opportunities from various Federal, State, and Local agencies.
  • Works Collaboratively with Quality Assurance Team to identify appropriate proposals and obtain approval for all responses prior to submission.
  • Develops proposal by assembling all pertinent information, writing, revising, and editing.
  • Establish schedule for proposals to meet deadlines and adhere to requirements.
  • Maintain RFP Base that contains basic program/department information.
  • Create procedures to reduce development time and overall costs of funding proposals.
  • Track current contracts and termination dates.
  • Maintain contact list for current contract holders.
  • Track win/loss

 

 

Job Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must have prior experience developing proposal strategies and developing content.
  2. Bachelor required, advanced degree preferred in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Psychology, or Sociology with an emphasis on planning, administration and management of organization.
  3. Minimum of 5 years work experience related to proposal writing.
  4. Knowledge of criminal justice systems, forensic toxicology, substance abuse counseling and clinical theory and technique.
  5. Exceptional writing, editing and proof reading skills, with a strong command of the English language, grammar and sentence structure.
  6. Ability to coordinate, track and efficiently organize multiple tasks/projects.
  7. Must be able to organize existing resources and incorporate new information as needed.
  8. Must be resourceful and organized, with the ability to handle tight deadlines effectively.
  9. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  10. Must be able to adhere to detailed instructions concerning process and procedure.
  11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and database programs.
  12. Must pass urinalysis screening.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
  • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work in a typical office and healthcare environment.
