Job Description

Bilingual Marketing Manager
Cincinnati, OH

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategic marketing approach to reach the luxury travel market in China. This individual will spearhead new programs to ensure the company's future Chinese growth and profitability, while focusing on the ultimate satisfaction of current and future customers. This Marketing Manager will collaborate with outside vendors such as advertising agencies and research suppliers to accomplish their goals. He/she will also partner with the company's China personnel in marketing, sales, customer services, and owner services to understand the customer base and translate that knowledge into strategic initiatives to obtain the top market position. You must speak fluent Mandarin to qualify.

  • Conduct market research and competitive/data analysis to determine client requirements, differentiation, product positioning, and retention and satisfaction monitoring processes
  • Develop communications strategy and programs, both external and internal, covering all forms of advertising and public relations such as direct mail, newsletters, trade ads and shows, websites, events loyalty programs
  • Manage channels, including strategy development and involvement with direct sales organization, broker network, and electronic medium in lead development 
  • Create and manage sales support and retention tools
  • Lead and support the design, development, and implementation of new and improved products and services including launches
  • Analyze pricing and financials; develop and manage pricing structure for all China products, services, and related activities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field; MBA preferred
  • 6 to 8 years prior experience in market, product, or brand management with in-depth knowledge of product positioning, promotion, pricing, margin, and distribution activities
  • Must speak fluent Mandarin
  • Extensive knowledge of the Asian market as it relates to the market presence
  • Ability to prepare and implement business plans, forecasts and budgets
  • Ability to negotiate contacts with vendors such as advertising agencies, etc.
