Job Description

General Summary:  The primary function of this position is to perform sales calls within a designated territory by calling on all existing Associated accounts as well as competitive accounts to obtain sales contracts for Raymond Narrow Aisle Lift Trucks and rack systems.  In addition, the incumbent will develop leads through Commercial Investigations for sophisticated Integrated Solutions opportunities.  The incumbent will receive training through vendors, managers, and seminars in order to increase sales profits and income as it pertains to Material Handling Industry and Associated supplied solutions.   The Business Solutions Manager will be expected to achieve forecasted market shares and gross profit goals by providing the appropriate customer solutions and consistent account management of both new and existing customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs cold calling for new and competitive accounts as well as call on existing accounts.      
  • Develops written proposals for the execution of sales contracts.    
  • Provides solutions for customer applications and maintains customer relations.
  • Provides management with monthly territory forecast and review of current projects, prospects, targeted accounts.   
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with various types of personalities and authority within an organization.
  • Ability to persuade others as well as display resiliency and persistency in order to close a sale.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to exhibit exceptional customer relations including but not limited to displaying empathy, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Must be assertive, and display a sense of urgency, motivation, confidence, and a self-starter. 
  • Skilled in writing letters and proposals.       


Education and Experience

  • This position requires a High School diploma with a minimum of a College degree and/or between 3-5 years of prior revenue increasing sales performance preferred.
  • Must possess valid and good driving as defined in Company’s Motor Vehicle Program.
  • Position requires considerable local travel daily and occasional overnight travel.
