Job Description

The Therapist I is supervised by the designated Clinical Supervisor and works in collaboration with all program managers, coordinators, and staff. Responsible for psychosocial assessment, consultation, care coordination, crisis assessment and intervention services, treatment/safety plan development and monitoring, and conducting individual, group, and/or family therapy for assigned clients. Activities may include office, home-based or community-based service provision. Available for 24-hour crisis intervention as needed or directed.

Job Requirements

  • Must be licensed by the State of New Mexico as a qualified mental health practitioner or working towards licensure: Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT).
  • Must have 2 years of experience in clinical practice with children, adolescents and families.
  • Criminal Record Clearance (CYFD, local, state, and FBI) required.
  • Must perform effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking highly preferred.
