Job Description

Advicent Solutions, a leading provider of SaaS technology solutions for the financial services industry, is seeking a Sales Account Executive to specialize in targeting regional and industry specific business while employing a consultative sales process, hunting for new business and leveraging existing relationships to create recurring revenue.


As a Sales Account Executive at Advicent, your responsibilities will include the following:


  • Generate new business through activities of prospecting, conducting market analysis and cold calling
  • Drive the entire sales process: prioritize and target top prospects, identify solutions, conduct software demonstrations, negotiate product pricing and close the sale through contract completion
  • Act as a "solutions expert" consultant by helping partners with their unique critical business issues and strategic initiatives
  • Work with entire sales department and other in house resources to share ideas and new business development strategies
  • Effectively utilize Internet and other resources to reach and identify prospects for contact. Obtain referrals from industry sources to build pipeline of prospects
  • Build and manage prospect database, keeping accurate record and notes of contact information and prospect activity

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 1 year of strategic sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated track record in closing new business and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and deliver powerful presentations
  • Understanding of technology systems, Internet applications as well as CRM systems
  • Series 6, 7, 63 or 65 a plus
  • Financial advising experience desired, but not required
