Intellectual Property - Litigation Attorney / Associate

Job Description

Washington D.C. office seeks senior attorney having 5-7 years of experience. The candidate will support patent office litigation practice. Will help with inter partes and covered business method reviews, and other post grant proceedings for both petitioners and patent owners. Continue to build portfolio of experience with attorneys who wrote the leading book on the America Invents Act, Patent Office Litigation, and founded the PTO Litigation Center online. Must have a Bio or Chem-related background or experience, a USPTO registration number, and a J.D. degree with excellent academic credentials. Should also be a member of the DC Bar or eligible to waive in. Should be a case manager with extensive litigation experience, oral advocacy ability, the technical skill to deconstruct patents for challenge or defense, a strong understanding of the USPTO and PTAB rules and proceedings.


The corporate law office is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The law firm was formed in 1978. Area of specialization is intellectual property law. More than fifty adept lawyers comprise the firm. A number of their practice disciplines consist of patent prosecution, litigation-appeals, reexamination, licensing and trademark. There are seventeen practice industries such as biotechnology, electronics, consumer products and food science-packaging. The law practice embraces community outreach. As a result, attorneys are hands-on in many community service activities during the year.
