Job Description

The Leasing Manager is an exciting position to hold within MAA. The primary duties are to oversee all leasing, marketing and customer service activities at the assigned property. Some of the important job functions are to assist with the training and development of leasing consultants as well as compiling and maintaining resident prospect information. Often the Leasing Manager is the first contact a prospective resident will have with one of our 160+ apartment communities. As the first impression of the community, it is important for the Leasing Manager to understand the value of strong customer service, sales techniques and how to overcome objections. Flexibility to adapt to a varied work schedule, including weekends, after hours and some holidays is required.

All MAA associates must successfully clear a background investigation to include but may not be limited to: criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening and an employment verification process. Job Requirements

  • Must have above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and software knowledge, preferably MRI.
  • Skilled in the use of sales techniques, closing techniques and how to overcome objections.
  • Open to cross-training with co-workers.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Knowledge of industry legal requirements, especially related to federal and local Fair Housing Laws.

Experience Required

High School Diploma and One year leasing experience required. Computer experience required.
