If you’re ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents.  We are currently seeking an experienced Research Analyst (Accounts Receivable) for our Accounts Receivable Department department. 


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of all accounts receivables reports, analysis of employer account balances and employer contributions; prepare various delinquency and aging reports to ensure employer contributions are being collected on time to meet the funding needs of member benefits
  • Develop spreadsheets and database analyses of accounts receivable reports (Access, Excel, V3) used for trustee and senior management presentations; determine accuracy of information in accounts receivable system and identify trends that may impact future funding
  • Communicate with collection attorneys and employers to request missing information, discuss balance due, provide updates and work through reconciling accounts
  • Conduct employer balance research for all collection and reporting activities
  • Calculate employer receivable arrangements (Confessions of Judgment and Awards) to collect on past due receivable needed to fund the member benefits
  • Create schedules from accounting data to be used by Actuaries and Finance Division for regulatory and budgeting purposes
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent years of work experience required; plus
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a Financial Analyst, Research Analyst or Data Analyst in a high volume Accounting or Finance environment required
  • Good knowledge of general accounting principles, credits/debits, reconciliations, etc; experience with accounts receivable, finance, collections or health insurance highly preferred
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel required, Intermediate Access highly preferred; experience maintaining and using complex databases, formulas, data mining, conducting financial analysis and reporting required
  • Critical thinking capabilities and ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines in a high volume environment; must have commitment to quality, process improvement and contributing to efficient operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate well with collection attorneys and employers to provide updates and reconcile accounts
  • Experience with web based accounting systems; able to assist with implementation of new software, testing, and offline data capture
  • Excellent analytical skills, organization and attention to numerical detail and financial information
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
