National Account Manager - Special Markets
Key role within the MMF organization, this position is chartered with executing and driving a retail sales plan for the Food, Drug, Mass, Hardware and Specialty retailers that will result in delivery of sales and profit growth of existing and new MMF products.  The candidate will develop executive relationships with key buyers and influencers within the accounts and leverage these during the sales process.  In addition, the position requires expertise in managing Manufacturers Representatives within the specific channels.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify opportunities and manage expansion into new channels, specifically the Food, Drug, Mass, Hardware, and Specialty channels.
  • Achieve sales volume, profit and share goals consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Develop strategic account plans for each channel that details the roadmap for sales penetration
  • Build new relationships and maintain current relationships with all levels of the customer.
  • Responsible for customer P&L
  • Prepare sales reports; monitor and analyze sales performance.
  • Manage, hire, support, and drive our Manufacturing Rep groups to achieve sales objectives at our assigned accounts.
  • New business development (develop opportunities that currently do not exist).
  • Work cross - functionally within the organization.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Heavy travel schedule – minimum of 50%

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Food, Drug, Mass, Hardware and Specialty channels
  • Excellent interpersonal, selling skills and relationship building abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, well organized.
  • Computer proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 This position is based at the Wheeling, Illinois corporate office – no relocation assistance will be offered.  There will be a minimum of 50% travel
