Job Description

Kinetic Supply Company is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Creative Director to bring cutting-edge thinking and superlative design chops to an innovative, highly entrepreneurial team. The candidate will demonstrate a passion for strategic problem solving and will utilize a deep understanding of social media, search, Web design, iPad, WAP, and usability to conceive and execute content platforms. S/he must be eager to stay current with the quickly evolving digital universe and possess enthusiasm for interfacing with corporate clients. The Digital Creative Director will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services to conceive and build smart, attractive digital content platforms for our roster of clients. S/he will also work with the new business development team to create spec creative for sales pitches

Job Requirements

  • Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
  • Lead and inspire junior members of the creative team
  • Provide quality control over concepts and projects
  • Estimate Creative needs and resources required for client and internal engagements
  • Facilitate Creative Strategy process, project briefs and/or storyboards
  • Collaborate constructively with team members and clients to translate user needs and business goals into actionable experience design strategies and present those strategies and concepts to clients and new business engagements
  • Work to establish disciplined best-practices and evangelize Creative Services both externally and internally
  • Demonstrate ability to lead cutting-edge concepts on a wide range of projects, from mobile applications to complex enterprise systems to market focused consumer experiences
  • Design new and creative approaches to visualize data and present complex information
  • Demonstrate knowledge of design concepts, brand strategies and brand voice; articulate and support decisions based project goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of agency experience designing for large-scale digital platforms
  • Experience with user-interface principles, information architecture, and SEO, as well as standard Web product-development processes, is critical
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrate a passion for strategic problem solving and will utilize a deep understanding of social media, search, Web design, iPad, WAP
  • Proven ability to develop and lead an integrated creative team
  • Extensive experience in creating Editorial Strategies, Brand Strategies and Content Marketing Strategies and plans
  • Excellent understanding of and experience in creating Websites and Web/Mobile applications
  • Experience designing mobile websites and/or apps is preferred, as is a background in content-rich design
  • A history of working with sales, marketing, and business development teams is a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software, XHTML, Web-standards-based design, and Flash
  • Current and review-ready portfolio
  • Excellent presentation skills
Excellent communication skills-verbal and written 

Additional Requirements 

  • Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field OR equivalent visual design and management experience required; graduate degree preferred
