Prince Castle is looking for a Human Resources Generalist in Carol Stream, IL.

 Summary Job Description:

The HR Generalist administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activities by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are incompliance
  • Recruits, interviews and selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Coordinates employee training on safety and various other employment topics
  • Administer FMLA requests per Department of Labor guidelines
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
  • Conducts employee benefit plan enrollment programs, explain plan benefits and administration procedures
  • Reviews and approves insurance carrier billings, check for accuracy and appropriate charges
  • Conducts salary surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate
  • Write job descriptions, evaluate positions, and complete wage/salary surveys
  • Prepares employee separation documentation, and conducts exit interviews
  • Maintains the HRIS system to ensure the integrity of the data base
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier
  • Monitor workers’ compensation claims, review loss experience and develop loss prevention methods
  • Provides assistance and assumes Director’s responsibilities in absence
  • Any other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  1. 7 years progressive Human Resources Experience
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
  3. Effective Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  4. Knowledge of ADP Workforce
  5. Experience utilizing LinkedIn for recruiting
