PLEASE NOTE: This is posted regionally across the US. It is a full time position that requires relocation to Bellevue, Washington.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To source, price and market product to profitably grow the assigned department to the gross profit line.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
To continually evaluate all available vendors and select the appropriate vendors based on the following criteria - cost, terms, service level, time in transit (cost of interest and necessary inventory level) and quality: and establish the appropriate retail prices to attain the budgeted gross profit.
Continually seek out new merchandise through markets, trade shows and publications that will supplement existing product lines, produce added sales and profit and satisfy corporate buying guidelines.
Develop strategic marketing plans including; advertising, in store specials, promotional and special buy product that is targeted to profitably grow sales and gross profit
Assist in setting the initial sales, gross margin, and inventory forecasts used in developing the final operating budget.
Manage, direct and develop Category Assistant.
