Regional Manager



Job Purpose: Managing a full time team of Clinical Nurse Educators who will provide training and disease state education to HCPs


Reports To: National Program Director and Executive Vice President, Nursing Operations


Direct Reports: Regional Nurse Educator team


Key Objectives:


1. Develop 30/60/90 day Regional Launch Plan


2. Manage field operations of Clinical Nurse Educators as key point person


3. Conduct and document regular field visits with CNEs


4. Provide on-going coaching and direction to direct reports


5. Takes ownership for all region responsibilities


6. Communication to team, BIIB field-based leadership and internal TTI staff


7. Support National Program Director, as requested/needed


8. Participate in Team Meetings and conference calls


9. Prepare and confirm accuracy of all reports, spreadsheets and correspondence prior to distribution


10. Sound decision making and judgment


11. Verify and validate project roster for any changes due to launch, realignment, transfers, up/downsizing, etc., as needed


12. Ensure field team has all appropriate equipment and communications support


13. Participate, as requested, in internal meetings to update progress and suggest positive solutions to specific issues and/or opportunities

Job Requirements

Job Holder Specification:

1. Bachelor’s Degree, BSN Preferred, Active RN required

2. 2-3 years in field leadership/supervisory management position

3. Experience in identifying, hiring, training and developing talent

4. Experience in Clinical Education and patient teaching environment

5. Patient/provider injection training experience a plus

6. Experience in Oncology preferred

7. Must live near a major airport

8. Valid Driver’s License

9. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook

10. Ability to travel up to 75% within assigned region


The jobholder is required to be field based, with frequent travel

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements may include:

• Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 25 pounds

• Ability to sit, stand or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers

• Ability to proficiently operate computer hardware and software on a daily basis

• Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator and general office equipment on a daily basis

• Ability to commute on a regular basis via motor vehicle and or airplane
