Analyst Quality & Patient Safety – Quality & Patient Safety (CH):

Responsible for supporting the Quality & Patient Safety Site Manager in coordinating, implementing and monitoring Quality & Patient Safety activities at the hospital and its associated sites.  Assists in coordinating activities associated with Joint Commission (JC) continuous readiness.  On a regular basis monitors and analyzes data collection associated with Core Measures / CMS, DOH Plans of Correction, RCA follow-ups, Patient Satisfaction and Quality Dashboard Report and the Quality Incentive Report.

 

REPORTS TO:

Director Quality & Patient Safety

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

None

Job Requirements

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM): 

 

Education
  • BA/ BS Degree
  • NYS License as required by to practice position in healthcare field (i.e. Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Pharmacy) preferred

 

Experience
  • Two (2) years  healthcare clinical experience preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience with quality initiatives (data analysis, participation on team projects)

 

Knowledge, skill and ability:
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work in an Access database
  • Statistical background required for interpretation of data
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel between CHS facilities is required
  • Normal heat, light and space typical of most office jobs
  • Long periods of time spent utilizing a computer
