We are presently seeking FT, PT and PRN ARNP PSYCHIATRIC. The Nurse Practitioner is assigned principal responsibility for the primary health care of patients and receives professional medical supervision from a physician. Incumbents of this class function independently in the care and treatment of patients within the scope of practice defined and agreed to by medicine, nursing, and administration. The Nurse Practitioner practices under physician review and confirms health care goals for patients. The Nurse Practitioner remains responsible for the client throughout the course of treatment, provides the physical examination, diagnosis, and health care plan, determines when the client has recovered, and releases the client. The Nurse Practitioner may refer the client to physicians for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment, but retains responsibility for clinical management as well as any subsequent modification. Incumbents may review use and effects of psychotropic drugs and other medications as well as the characteristics of mental and emotional disorders.
- FT, PT and PRN Psychiatric ARNP to conduct adult outpatient evaluations and medication management at a community mental health center in Palm Beach County.
- Will be supervised by the Chief Medical Officer.
