Job Description

Outstanding opportunity for a qualified Network Administrator under the direction of the IT Manager.  You will be involved in the design, configuration, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of network systems, wireless networks, VLANS / WAN segments and IP load balancing systems. You will plan, configure, administer and maintain all network infrastructure hardware, such as switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls by utilizing a thorough understanding of DNS, WINS, DHCP, Cisco, WatchGuard Firewall, Policy Based Routing, and routing protocols, support network infrastructure and hardware (24 / 7), responsible for administration, application performance monitoring, identifying security vulnerabilities / intrusion detection and for building firewall policies on WatchGuard firewalls, responsible for LAN to LAN VPN connections for business partners & employees.  Evaluate, configure, install, and maintain servers and peripherals related to company's strategic goals.  Maintain data and voice carrier and service provider relationships for existing WAN & VoIP circuits as well as plan and implement additions and changes to network related to M&A activities.  Document and perform all network infrastructure disaster recovery procedures. Help with solutions to networking problems that may arise in an expeditious, efficient, and timely manner.


Support other IT team members in designing, implementing, and maintaining technology related to organizational and IT strategic plan. Support end user access and use of company technology.


Job Requirements

Five years experience in LAN / WAN design, implementation, maintenance, and performance monitoring is required.  Bachelor’s degree in CIS or equivalent is preferred.  Ability to increase knowledge and skill in other IT functions such as data storage, disaster recovery, business continuity, virtualization, wireless, mobile, and beyond.  Have strong communication / team building skills, enjoy challenges and working through multiple, complex problems,  strong multi tasking skills are required; meet deadlines.  Ability to manage multiple self-directed projects effectively and simultaneously,  plan / prioritize daily work assignments, work with IT Project Manager to report status and completion estimates of project tasks.  Demonstrate strong critical systems thinking ability, understand both technical and organizational impact of activities related to network changes, systems implementations, and maintenance cycles.  Cooperatively interact with coworkers and employees, working collaboratively with other team members and key stakeholders in achieving organizational goals.
