Strong people management skills - provide on-the-spot coaching, hold weekly one-on-one performance meetings with collectors, cross-train for back-ups, and provide formal training.
Demonstrates "street smarts" and understanding of human nature.
Excellent computer skills and ability to comprehend and analyze large quantities of data
At least 5 year collections managers experience, must be able to motivate a collections staff to hit their goals consistently.
