The Project Manager III (PM III) is accountable for the project objectives. They define areas of responsibility including resource allocation, influencing sponsors and manage work prioritization. The PM III plays an active role in making decisions involving human resources, technical and financial resources necessary to implement change for high impact environments. They design processes and structures to support enterprise wide change.
The PM III is expected to work autonomously and have minimal interaction with HR/Project Leader with regards to program management methodology. Through collaboration, demonstrates team leadership while focusing on items that will have project outcome implications other than expected. The PM III must have the ability to manage business sponsor relationships, and navigate political landscape.
PM III's direct by exception and they are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology. They are assigned to medium or large projects. Will be assigned to multiple projects, with rare exceptions and can be assigned as a contributor PM on programs.
â€ Manages the project management delivery and is considered a subject matter expert in project management principles, techniques and best practices
â€ Often directs and consults with project team members, leadership in the preparation of project documentation, deliverables, milestones, resources, schedules and budgets
â€ Requires leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
â€ Often leads Project team(s) comprised of project managers I, II, project coordinators, business analysts, applications analysts and developers
â€ Adheres to Dignity Health Project Management Methodologies as defined within the IT Project Management guide
â€ Does not have HR responsibilities
â€ Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
â€ 5+ years of relevant healthcare IT project management experience
â€ PMP Certification preferred
â€ Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles in relation to project budgets, purchasing and analysis of financial results
â€ Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project & Word

Proven expert in MS Project skills with at least 3-4 years experience with the latest version MSProject 2010.
