Job Description

This position is for Senior Developer - eBiz (Service aspects) application. This position will report under Sr. Technical Director of IT
eBiz is a preferred touch point online portal for AT&T’s business customers. eBiz delivers ONE effortless experience by customer pull - incenting, capturing and converting offline behavior to digital volumes and values. This portal uses cutting edge digital technologies and processes - productized APIs, software-as-service, infrastructure-as-service, mobile (adaptive design), big data, agile etc.
Responsibilities
  • Senior Developer - Design and develop Java/ATG software components for eBiz applications.
  • Develop accurate level of effort estimates, and manage task schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills that can be used to effectively communicate technical concepts to business teams.
  • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide performance improvements, and better user experiences.
  • Provide direction and mentoring to junior developers.
  • Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal

Desired Qualifications
  • 6 years of JEE and Java programming experience
  • Strong understanding of JEE best practices
  • Strong understanding of JSP, AJAX, XML, XSLT and basic UI
  • Strong object oriented design and design patterns experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile processes and methodologies
  • Experienced with relational database SQL
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and production diagnostic skills.
  • Experience w/ Java Application Servers, preferably Web Logic Server
  • Strong experience with SOAP and Web Services
  • Industry experience in Telecom/Wireless is nice to have

Required Qualifications -
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5-8 years experience in developing software applications including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications.
  • Understand API design/development, Web Services design/development (REST, SOA, etc.)
  • Proficient in application/software architecture (Definition, Business Process Modeling, etc.)
  • Understand application/software development and design.
  • Proficient in application/software testing (Unit, Integration, System, Case Planning, Design and Execution).
  • Understand Change Control Methodology.
  • Proficient in Development Methodolgies (AGILE, ITUP, 3D, etc.)
  • Knowledge in protocols (network, software).
  • Understand Development Tools (Rational Tools, Agile Tools, simulation tools, etc.)
  • Proficient in internet technologies/programming (WSDLS, HTML, DHTML, XHML, XML, .NET, Active X, SSL, HTTP, Weblogic, Websphere, etc.).
  • Understand operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows).
  • Understand programming languages (C, C++, Java, Javascript, Ruby, Jboss, Perl, VXML, XML, etc.).
Desired Qualifications -
  • Understanding of project management process
