Job Description

Job Summary:

A professional who provide services (evaluation, interventions, and planning) to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. He/she interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals, including physicians, nurses, educators, social workers, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. The therapist will also provide appropriate education to patients and or family.

Job Requirements


  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.

  • One year of prior experience preferred or experience via educational program or inpatient OT positions.
  • Outpatient OT positions require 2 years with direct hand therapy treatment of hand and UE.
  • Must demonstrate advanced assessment and treatment for traumatic and hand injuries.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in fabricating complex static and dynamic splints.

  • Kentucky State Board of Occupational Therapy and National Registration.
  •  Outpatient OT's must be willing to sit for the certified hand therapist examination.
