Actuarial/Risk - Manager


Location:   Bridgewater, NJ OR New York, NY

Duration:  6 Months +


Job Description:

The incumbent will be part of Asset Liability Management’s unit. Our team’s major responsibility is coordinating the cash flow testing (CFT) and loss recognition testing (LRT) processes for all domestic business and EEV related work and/or backfill for some CBF related programming work. He or she will interface with many of areas of MetLife including Asset Liability Management, Asset Modeling Group, Portfolio Management Unit, Appointed Actuaries (AA), Product CFOs and Line of Business Lead Actuaries.

Job Requirements

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support coordination of CFT processes
  • Prepare actuarial opinions and memoranda for AA statutory filings
  • Participate in coordination of Asset Transformation Process
  • process used to allocate assets to liabilities for CFT & LRT
  • Maintain and automate results templates supporting CFT & LRT
  • Assist in implementing CFT & LRT process improvements
  • Update documentation for various processes in LECO unit
  • Provide assistance on various Statutory AA and GAAP Valuation Actuary functions
  • Support state insurance department quinquennial examinations covering actuarial opinions and memoranda
  • Manage ad hoc projects
