Robert Half Technology has partnered with a local client in search of a Service Desk Analyst on a contract-to-hire basis. Position Duties: Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via both telephone and e-mail to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues. Alert management to emerging trends in incidents. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications. Escalate incidents (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician. Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution. Assist in software/hardware roll-outs and communicate with customers. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in incident/problem resolution. Install anti-virus software and ensure virus definitions are up-to-date. Build workstations using Symantec Ghost application. Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals. Perform post-resolution follow ups to service requests. Position Requirements: Exceptional customer service skills College diploma or university degree in Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software; experience in Active Directory and Group Policy a plus. Experience with desktop and server operating systems. Experience with remote management/troubleshooting tools. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
