Business Systems Analyst II
The Business Systems Analyst II will support the technology needs of PNC's growing Legal Department. In addition to the primary role of day to day administrative support of our various systems; which includes user and data maintenance, exception handling, problem research/resolution, reporting, etc.; the position will also participate in projects to select and implement new technology, as well as optimize and utilize PNC's existing platforms to provide a better user experience and a competitive advantage. This position requires heavy interaction with both external vendors as well as internal users such as attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, and individuals from the line of business and support areas of the corporation.
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of both business and technical skills and can translate complex technical concepts into a form easily understood by business oriented individuals.
The Business Systems Analyst II will participate in the review, creation and evaluation of alternative business / systems solutions and develop business requirements. They will document all aspects of the business systems analysis life cycle for moderately complex business solutions and/or projects and analyze moderately complex data and summarizes findings for presentation to service partners and management.
The Business Systems Analyst II will provide on-going support of current and enhanced system platforms and proactively meet with service partners to identify, assess and develop strategies to resolve problems or data needs relating to varying technology platforms and systems for the LOB. They will provide training and support to end users in the line of business as well as assist in the transition of stabilized processes / systems and will provide implementation support (e.g., service partner communication, documentation) in support of systems implemented.
The Business Systems Analyst II will represent the Legal team on PNC/Line of Business committees and task forces or in support of crucial project initiatives. These assignments may be ad hoc for specific tasks or may be rotated throughout the department for specified periods of time. They may also participate in the creation, development, evaluation and beta testing of system / software enhancements or upgrades to determine their utility for service partners.
This position will be located in Pittsburgh, PA.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Technology.
5 years+ of specific line of business or technology experience.
Intermediate experience with Excel which would include: IF statements, V-Lookup, etc to perform research on datasets; Experience with Pivot Tables/Charts is preferred.
Experience with Business Objects Webi, background in and/ or understanding of object oriented databases or SQL is desired. Ability to design queries to answer business questions and produce clean, accurate reports and to update the database via a data exchange process.
Should possess effective interpersonal skills and collaborative peer working relationship experiences with the ability to build relationships with other team members within Legal and in other support groups.
Ability to interpret data, formulate sound conclusions, and make consultative recommendations and/or decisions.
