Large York County employer is seeking a Controller with multi-plant manufacturing to join their team. The Assistant Controller for Manufacturing will proactively partner with VP of Operations to plan, monitor and control operational targets. This Assistant controller will collaborate with senior level business unit professionals to provide insightful, data-driven analysis and support, to drive efficiency and reduce costs. The role has 3 main responsibilities: business partnership, planning & reporting & process/systems improvements. The primary duties for the areas of responsibility include: Business Partnership - Identify key performance metrics that impact conversion costs and deploy management reporting cadence that will provide real time visibility to cost performance - Identify challenges and opportunities and team up with operations to solve issues related to cost performance. - Provide financial leadership for capital management, including working with the manufacturing organization to prepare financial analysis related to cost savings & maintenance AFEs Monitor/analyze operations and address issues and report progress to Business unit: - Update capital forecast monthly, providing insights into actual as well as projected spending, with an eye towards balancing cash management target Planning & Reporting: - Facilitate annual planning and forecasting process and ensure complete ownership of plant budget targets and forecasts with operations management. - Develop review templates to lead budget and forecast reviews to ensure quality stretch targets at plant level. - Provide framework of ongoing monitoring that seeks corrective action in order to deliver on cost commitments. - Track, monitor and analyze plant manufacturing results vs established objectives - Provide support efforts to develop & track additional cost savings opportunities and monitor progress of current initiatives. Process/ Systems Improvements: - Ensure availability of reporting tools to assist management and users with analytical decision making. - Develop and implement approaches to improve the accuracy of monthly forecasts and weekly cost controls. - Streamline communication and business process related to Capital management. - Manage the fixed asset and physical inventory audit process and timetable. Job Requirements

BS/BA Required preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business MBA a solid plus 5+ years Accounting/Finance Experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry. Must have multi location or large staff management experience. Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse and Hyperion desirable. Excellent analytical, data-manipulation, problem solving, and communication skills.
