Job Description

APPLEBEE'S is the world's largest Casual Dining chain with over 2000 restaurants. Apple NorCal, the Northern California franchise, is ripe for your success. Our franchise territory covers the North Bay area, Wine Country and Sacramento. We also extend through the Reno and Tahoe. We currently have 37 units and will continue to expand through our growth of 1 to 3 additional new units every year.


The successful Restaurant Manager manages therestaurant environment, manages employee performance, maintains and controlsthe assets of the restaurant and develops staff.

Duties include,but are not limited to:


  • Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems.
  • Executes weekly food and liquor inventories/costs at the AD/EGM/GM’s request and is accountable for completion.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting of accurate daily paperwork to the AD/EGM/GM.
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards.
  • Develops goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees.


Ourmanagers receive the following compensation and benefits:


AssistantManagers can expect to earn in totalcompensation: $45,000-$60,000 (hourly paid, base wage + discretionarybonus)


EligibleManagers will receive:

    Job Requirements

    Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


    •        Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills


    •        Mobility required during the entire shift.


    •        Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparationequipment.


    •        Capable of using POS and BackOffice computer system.


    •        Able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.


    •        Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise.


    •        Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to selfand others.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

    Thephysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met byan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Mustbe able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees, dining roomstaff, and guests.  Must be able to standand exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours in length.  Must have the ability to lift pots, pans,glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight.  Must be able to read and write facilitatecommunication.  Must possess finger andhand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
