Job Description


As a Technology Director, you are a member of PNC's Digital Technology organization of more than 130 professionals. PNC has created numerous award winning digital solutions for customers, including Virtual Wallet, Wealth Insight and Cash Flow Insight.   You will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Your responsibilities include providing strategic leadership in growing and transforming our digital servicing applications, portfolio management, strategic planning, employee performance management, coaching and development.   You will report to a Business Information Officer.

Your hours largely fall within a normal work week, but there is variability and off-hours work based on the project and production activity. Within the day, there will be a significant variety of activity, with a pace set by business demands, technology stability and customer experience.   In your role, you will draw upon communication and leadership skills, highly self-directed and with significant interaction with technology and business professionals at all levels across the organization.  PNC's commitment to leadership in digital customer solutions means you will always be at the leading edge of online and mobile technology.  All the while, you'll enjoy a highly collaborative environment.



Provides, leadership, guidance, expertise and direction to staff and internal external service partners. For an area or specialty technology function, Oversees training and development of direct reports. Provides policy expertise and develops organizational policies/procedures.



Manages the budget, succession planning, quality control, performance, and reporting for a major division or LOB production area.



Partners with Senior level individuals within the Retail Segment



Drives strategy, policies, and procedures for assigned area.



Works with business areas support to review and set service level requirements. Establishes service level reporting requirements. Reviews reports with business leaders as applicable

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:



Typically 10-15 years of prior management experience required. Additional experience would be accepted in lieu of education.



Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience.



Strong communication skills



PMP Certification is a plus
