PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SR MANAGER

Job Description

General Responsibilities:

  • Deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in emergency department process capability by applying process improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma tools.
  • Will act as an internal consultant across all CLIENT hospitals by leading the design/redesign, development, implementation and monitoring of process improvement i to enhance quality, operational performance and patient experience.
  • Maintain support of the Hospital's financial goals by managing and utilizing available operational, clinical and financial tools while demonstrating ROI for continuous improvement.
  • Assist and provide ongoing leadership and guidance to align key stakeholders: hospital support center group leadership, hospital operating leaders, identified hospital lean/performance improvement champion and hospital team to uncover and assess emergency department, and other process improvement opportunities.
  • Aligns with the HSC SRG team and be an advocate for the CLIENT Emergency Department and other Service Line Initiatives
  • Must be willing to provide constructive feedback and hold the hospital teams accountable to clear exceptions while demonstrating tact and diplomacy in situations of conflict and controversy
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Education and Special Certifications…)Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Clinical Improvement or a related field required. MHA, MBA, MSN or related master's degree preferred.

  • Certification in project management also preferred.
  • . Minimum of 5 years healthcare Lean/process improvement experience. Including end to end event, project and relationship management
  • Must be Green Belt Certified or equivalent.
  • Must be a team player and collaborate with the HSC SRG team by researching and identifying best practices, facilitating groups and teams, and developing measurement tools with the goal to improve CLIENT's emergency departments and other areas to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Must identify process improvement champions across the CLIENT system and provide continuous and ongoing training with the goal for these individuals to achieve Lean credentials(or the like), as required.
  • Facilitate, train, mentor and coach others throughout the hospitals in the use of LEAN/process improvement tools and application/execution of these tools
  • Facilitate and train Kaizen, 5S and other process improvement activities
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
  • Must work with limited/general supervision on assigned projects and activities
