Job Description

VACO has been engaged by a law firm with offices throughout the Southeast, specializing in consumer bankruptcy, to identify a Legal Secretary for their growing Birmingham office. The Legal Secretary will work closely with clients to gather all relevant financial information as well as provide support to clients throughout the bankruptcy process. Additionally, the Legal Secretary will draft legal documents, conduct research and provide administrative support to several attorneys. The Legal Secretary will also oversee the general administration of the office.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of consumer bankruptcy experience.
  • Good working knowledge of general office procedures along with strong familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • RECENT experience is a must.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and proficiency in Best Case preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
