Southwest Kidney Institute is proud to have built our practice around providing the full spectrum of kidney health services including education, prevention and treatment, with a focus on early and ongoing management.  Our team of board-certified nephrologists direct all aspects of kidney care, including early intervention, transplant support, dialysis services, and cutting edge clinical research.  All of our services are done under one roof for everything from ultrasounds to clinical trials, so our patients receive one-stop treatment without referral to another clinic.   We have offices throughout Arizona, linked by a state-of-the-art electronic medical record and patient portal.

We are currently seeking a High-energy, hands-on manager who thrives in a fast-paced work environment to join our Operations team as a Manager in Phoenix, AZ.  This position will provide management support to, and collaboration with Clinic Supervisors, Specialists and Outside Services assuring achievement of SKI practice outcome goals. Establishes best practice work-flow processes to achieve optimum efficiency and attain high quality outcomes. Works as part of a management support team in a matrixed environment to support providers and patients. Creates, maintains, and supports efficient and effective operating systems. Pursues innovation in improving or implementing systems. Achieves systemic integration among inter-connected components internally or externally to SKI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize issues and commit to completing difficult as well as easier achievements.
  • Work with Leadership and others across the organization to “facilitate' changes in  functions, and/or oversee roll-outs of new initiatives.
  • Review, analysis, assessment and evaluation of long-term and day-to-day operations and functions to determine efficiencies and effectiveness of services provided.
  • Serve as liaison and interface between Southwest Kidney Institute (SKI) staff, patients, family members, physicians and others having business with SKI.
  • Supervision, management and monitoring of assigned staff.
  • Prepare, compile, develop and present a variety of regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc narrative, statistical and/or other reports and presentations, Serve as a resource to staff in proving support and assistance.
  • Participate in the budget development, analysis, roll-out and monitoring of expenditures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Operations, Management OR closely related field.
  • At least five (5) years of recent, relevant operations management and supervision responsibilities in a medical practice, hospital or similar health-care organization OR any equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and experience will have been obtained.
  • EMR skills (Athena experience a plus).
  • Project Management skills a plus.
  • Lean Process Improvement skills a plus
  • Solutions-minded, compliance-minded and results-oriented.
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to define, analyze and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to build and lead a productive and efficient team.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and teach direct reports.
