Job Description





As a Field Examiner III, you will be a member of PNC's Corporate & Institutional Banking organization. Your essential job functions include:


  • Supervises audit staff to ensure all assignments and duties are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Performs the field audits of the most complex secured lending clients and assists with the coordination of major secured lending accounts and/or new prospects where the initial collateral evaluations are critical.

  • Trains and acclimates new department personnel to our audit procedures through on-the-job training, and may evaluate auditors progress during the annual performance procedures.

  • Acts as a liaison between the relationship manager and the client in providing recommendations for implementation or improvement of collateral control or reporting procedures.

  • Reviews audit work-papers and reports, when necessary, for accuracy in both scope and content.

  • Assists with the preparation of audit reports

  • Assumes full responsibilities of the Manager, Secured Credit Auditors in his absence.

  • Coordinates automation of audit reports

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance required

  • Minimum four to five years experience as a secured credit auditor in the secured lending field.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills required

  • Good organizational skills required

  • Working knowledge of PC's required

  • Effective interpersonal skills required

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial statements and collateral analyses required

  • Position requires 50% overnight travel to client locations.

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Large degree of adaptability due to changing audit schedule
