Job Description

Summary:

The Lean Cell Lead ensures that lean processes are implemented in the daily work

process, tracks and reports production metrics and performs duties in the work cell as a

team member.

Job Duties:

Primary Duties:

• Coordinates team of employees to achieve production metrics for the cell

• Reports, tracks and communicates daily production results

• Coordinates with the CSR supervisor to determine volumes in order to ensure

adequate labor requirements.

• Performs duties in the work cell as an active team member, such as pick/pack/ship,

kitting, shipping and receiving, etc.

• Assists in and trains staff as necessary to ensure they have up-to-date Lean training

• Participates in required training in areas of process and quality improvements

• Ensures all safety guidelines are followed within the work center to prevent incidents

• Other duties as required and assigned

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

• Minimum 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training

• Training in Lean and Quality processes are required

• Experience using a forklift

• PC literate to include experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook,

Word and Excel

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and

maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in

written, oral, or diagram form

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to motivate a team of 8 to 15 peers

• Ability to train others in Lean methods and facilitate training is required

• Ability to report up metrics to the Director level in daily staff meetings

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;

walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel,

crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. He/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or

balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. The employee

is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and can be exposed

to extreme heat or cold, temperatures similar to outside temperatures



Requirements:
