Job Description

Koch Exploration Company, LLC is looking for a Senior Land Manager to join our team in Denver, Colorado. 
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle all aspects of land management in a team environment where there will be a direct impact on the bottom line of a growth-oriented company.  This role will also be responsible for leading the land function in the Denver office.
Responsibilities include:
-Leading land administration
-Division order
-Lease record efforts
-Providing assistance on business development and negotiations
-10+ years of land experience
-Excellent analytical and economic thinking skills
-Knowledgeable around regulatory compliance risk as it pertains to land and division order functions
-Superior interpersonal skills
-Extensive experience with negotiating and drafting land related agreements (including farm-out, joint operating, and purchase and sales agreements)
-Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution
-15+ years of land experience with at least 5 of those years as a Senior Landman or higher position
-Solid experience with title, spacing, and related understanding of regulations in Texas, Rockies, and Mid-Continent
-Experience with managing land brokers in lease acquisition programs
-3+ years of experience with supervising staff, including both negotiation and land administration staff
-Excellent understanding of the shared responsibility between land and accounting to ensure correct payment of royalties
-Extensive experience in working with multidisciplinary teams
-Exposure to oil and gas marketing, processing and transportation agreements, and their importance to overall project economics
-Well-developed industry network of contacts
-Experience with Enertia, Premier Data, or similar software
-Experience with unconventional oil and gas properties
-Masters of Business Administration or a Law Degree from an accredited institution
-AAPL (American Association of Professional Landmen) Certified Professional Landman
Additional Information:
This role is largely office-based, with occasional external visits to data rooms, land owners, land brokers, governmental offices or counterparty offices for negotiations.
