Typical Responsibilities:
  • Controls day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team
  •  Ensures OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
  •  Controls profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
  • Recruits, interviews, and hires team members, conducts performance appraisals, takes discipline action, motivates and trains
  •  Has authority to hire and fire (or participate in those decisions)
  •  Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program
  • Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
  • Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs Ensures a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team

Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of related progressive experience in an upscale casual dining environment, a la carte kitchen
  • A culinary graduate with at least 2 years of progressive experience is desired.
  • A hands on management style with strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse staff.
  • A strong understanding of F&B preparation and cost control techniques
  • A solid understanding of food safety practices and health department rules and regulations.

 MUST HAVE:
  • No more than 3-4 jobs in 10 years
  • Logical steady career progression
  • Accustomed to sales volume of at least $3.5to $4 million
  • No significant gaps in employment without good reason
  • Must have upscale to fine dining experience a chain restaurant
