Asset Manager

Reporting to the Manager-Litigation and Contested Foreclosure, you will manage a portfolio of assets on a loan level basis while maximizing the return for the investor. Success in this role will require the proper execution of the following duties:

  • Manage the disposition of a portfolio of real estate owned assets
  • Review appraisals and broker price opinions and establish market values and strategies to sell assets in a manner which maximizes recovery and minimize expenses while in compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Provide hands-on approach as it relates to internal processes and vendor management
  • Ensure sale and disposition of assets through strict timeline management
  • Ensure timely and accurate reports are received for distribution
  • Provide recommendations for procedural changes and improvements as they pertain to the department
  • Stay abreast of changes to federal and state mortgage laws and regulations affecting the operation
  • Maintain high degree of confidentiality

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 3+ years of experience in default mortgage servicing with specific background in the following:  REO management and marketing expertise, property inspection and preservation, vendor management, quality control processes, reporting, and project management.
  • Experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, and collections is a plus.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable software, electronic mail, internet, order processing, inventory and database software as well as and loan servicing systems.
