Job Description

Milestone is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to support data center operations, supply chain and associated operational processes related. The person will be responsible for operational process improvements specifically around asset receiving & global shipping. In this role you will interface with procurement, data centers, and finance to support on-time vendor payments and appropriate month-end requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Identify and understand the operational inner-workings to determine how best enable shipping and receiving across various data centers.
  • Support improvements in operational and system processes for global receiving that will allow for on-time and accurate receiving.
  • Responsible for identifying process gaps, following through with the regional teams to raise visibility and develop solutions in the receiving space.
  • Analyze data and work with the procurement teams to highlight root causes for receiving issues.
  • Support asset management from receipt through repairs and disposal.
  • Support asset tracking throughout its life cycle and ensuring accurate visibility to all teams both systematically and physically.
  • Support all internal movements of assets between regional locations/entities as appropriate and valid.
  • Partner with compliance teams to develop and maintain appropriate receiving controls and be responsible for self-assessment and validation of such controls.
  • Liaise with finance team to ensure precise accounting of assets for accurate quarter-end close.
  • Liaise with hardware teams on new product introduction and end-to-end readiness from an asset management perspective.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly physical audit as appropriate of datacenters to ensure accurate business reporting and financial compliance.
  • Primary point of contact for any receiving issues and queries to ensure proper recording of receipts on our books and appropriate vendor payments.
  • Onboard new vendors/integrators to ensure appropriate tracking and tagging of data center assets.
  • Interface effectively with team members and vendors regarding asset purchases and delivery.
  • Assist as needed in various project and process improvement projects for the team and organization as related to asset management.
  • Identify process gaps, work with teams to raise visibility
  • Create or update related process documentation
  • Develop and maintain appropriate metrics to ensure asset data accuracy.
Required Experience
  • 8+ years experience in supply chain management
  • Experience in business analysis/program management
  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Comfortable handling basic PM responsibilities (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting)
  • Supply chain process understanding from Procure to Pay.
  • Proficiency with SAP, MS access, Excel, Data loaders, SQL preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
  • Understanding of ITIL business processes preferred.
  • Quick learner, positive attitude, and customer-service focused.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Process Improvement experience.
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley testing.
  • Experience in computer waste and/or recycling background.
  • Understanding of technical inventory that supports a large scale website.
  • Logistics management experience in a data center world is preferred.
  • Must be very well organized and detail oriented
